British actor Daniel Craig confirmed this news on Tuesday night’s Late Show to host Stephen Colbert. And oh are we delighted to hear it.
To start off the show, host Stephen Colbert compliments Craig for being ‘the greatest Bond ever’. Subsequently, Colbert highlights the fact that the actor has been asked in numerous interviews if he would play the part again. ‘Bond’ then confirms, saying that if he was going to tell the truth, he would speak it to Colbert.
Colbert pressed Craig about comments the actor made in 2015, shortly after filming Spectre. When a reporter asked him if he was ready to play Bond again, Craig told him he would rather ‘slit his wrists’ than take on the role of 007 one last time. On Tuesday’s show Craig explained: ‘Instead of saying something with style and grace, I said something really stupid.’
The past four Bond movies, Daniel Craig has mastered his role as a true super spy. He fought off the worst of all bad guys, lived the most luxurious life, drove the nicest cars and had sexy romantic affairs with the most beautiful women. Additionally, he did all that with style and grace. Leaving all of us craving for more.
The new Bond movie will hit theaters in 2019.
