Chloé Leenheer is an actress and photographer. She was seen in the TV series ‘Zusjes’, ‘The Heart of Hadiah Tromp’, ‘Bluff 2’ and also as a participant in Expedition Robinson. From a young age, Chloé was already fascinated by photography and the emotion it can evoke. Through her work as an actress she learned to capture feelings in – sometimes – only a few shots. It is precisely the theatrical that she often visits as a photographer. Playfully she directs her models, resulting in tranquil, timeless, sometimes dramatic, sometimes dreamy images.
For Chloé Scenes, Chloé was inspired by her own work as an actress but also used everyday events and emotions for her images. This created various scenes, all with an aesthetic individuality, separate emotion and association. Part of the exhibition is a triptych with actor Hans Dagelet portrayed absurdly in a tutu. Each photo looks like a still image from a scene of a film of which you can make up the complete story yourself. Which makes it almost unfortunate that the film does not actually exist.
Scenes from Chloé can be admired free of charge from 9:30 am – 6 pm in the MediaCafé at VondelCS from August 6th until 29th.
