Mason Garments and Playboy introduce their first partnership collection titled Guilty Pleasures. The Amsterdam based footwear brand designed an all-white version of their Torino silhouette, consisting of smooth grain calf leather, embroidered Playboy bunny on the heel cap, stamped gold foil logos and engraved outsole. All handmade in Italy and limited to 375 pairs worldwide.
The special comes with a black, velvet dust bag that is a reference to Hugh Hefner’s robe. The package also includes the July issue of Playboy Netherlands that featured the Mason Garments x Playboy campaign on its cover and in an eight-page spread.
The one-piece Mason Garments x Playboy collection is inspired by the hidden desires of individuals all over the world.
“Mankind is naturally driven by desire. It’s our inner voice expressing a lifelong monologue. Unfortunately, most desires are rarely voiced since people are too afraid to be misunderstood in life”
– Rendi Aditia –
Rendi Aditia has always felt a deep-rooted eagerness to collaborate with an unconventional partner and stir up the premium footwear industry. Moreover, from a societal point of view, Mason Garments and Playboy believe that exposing hidden desires is the first step in creating collective transparency. The brands aspire to open closed doors, resulting in a higher degree of mutual understanding. Starting the dialogue on unconventional topics will form the cornerstone in breaking ongoing taboos within society.
The partnership collection between Mason Garments and Playboy is more than a product; it is a statement by design. Its main focus is to start a conversation about unorthodox thoughts and feelings, which eventually contributes to forming a mutual whole. The Mason Garments x Playboy campaign is shot by Dutch photographer Ruud Baan, whose delivered impressive work many times.
The collection is set to release online August 10th.
