Bang & Olufsen presents a new powerful wireless speaker for the home that redefines our handling of sound. The Beosound Edge, created in collaboration with worldwide acclaimed designer Michael Anastassiades, is again a well-thought-out design of the luxurious Danish audio brand, which transforms every day into musical mastery and is an aesthetic added value for the home.
The round shape of the Beosound Edge offers two placement options. The loudspeaker can be placed on the floor as a beautiful eye-catcher and can be merged with or enhanced in the colors of the surrounding furniture. Or it can be attached to the wall as a defiance of gravity with which the spaces can be divided into the house. Detect proximity sensors when approaching the speaker and make the aluminum touch interface light up. Adjusting the sound is just as magical as the sound itself: you simply roll the Beosound Edge back and forth to make it harder or softer. A quiet movement ensures a limited change in volume, a firm touch yields a more drastic adjustment. When you release, the loudspeaker returns smoothly to the original position.
Beosound Edge features a 360-degree, room-filling sound from both sides of the speaker. With the new Directional Sound Control, the user can determine the direction of the sound, creating two acoustic fronts. This ensures that a room can be divided into an active listening environment and a more passive listening environment. The directional sound is controlled via the Bang & Olufsen app.
Beosound Edge offers the industry’s leading standard technologies to ensure optimal streaming via the streaming service you want. The speaker supports AirPlay 2, Chromecast 2, Bluetooth and offers the possibility of voice control in combination with a loudspeaker with Google Assistant, such as Beosound 1 and Beosound 2 or an Amazon Echo device.
The Beosound Edge is available online and in Bang & Olufsen stores from mid-November for the price of € 3,250.
