Mercer Yet Again Releases A Killer Collab With NASA

Mercer is introducing the ‘W3RD 2.0 Night Mission’; as the first ever manned rocket launch at night, in December 1979. NASA’s Apollo 17 had to overcome all the challenges and inhibitions of a nocturnal mission. This was all or nothing! At 12:33 AM EST the Apollo 17 lifted off into space, making it the last manned flight landing on the moon recording the last ever moonwalk by mankind to this date. On the side of the sneaker, in silver, ‘Apollo XVII’ is engraved, referring to the only nightly launch of a manned spacecraft in the history of the world. The shoe also features black 3M detailing, which lights up in the dark.

The W3RD 2.0 Night Mission is set to release on December 14th, retailing at €250,-. To finish your fit, limited specially designed t-shirts will be available in very limited quantities. This in honor of the Apollo 17. To top it off, the five first customers will also receive a special NASA Apollo17 inspired Mercer carry-on case.

Here’s a look at the nightly lift-off!
