This year, Sneakerness has a lot in store for all fashion and sneaker enthusiasts. Rotterdam will be renamed streetwear-Valhalla for the second time in December. The rarest and classic models are for sale here and the lifestyle around them is also put in the spotlight. There is an exhibition curated by Venour in which new work can be seen by Rotterdam artists, such as Jelmer Konjo and Franky Sticks. There is also live painting, an exhibition of rare vintage sneakers from the last century, a WOEI sale and tattoos can be put.
Sneakerness has now become the largest European sneaker event with conventions in Paris, Milan, London and Cologne. After a successful first edition last year, this lifestyle fair returns to Rotterdam. Besides the thousands of sneakers that are sold there are plenty of other things to do and see all weekend:
“Last year we organized Sneakerness for the first time in Rotterdam. It turned out to be a hit; it was our best-visited event until then. It felt like a particularly warm welcome for us and confirmed the feeling that Rotterdam is a forerunner in the field of street fashion and the lifestyle around it. Again we notice that there is a lot of attention to the event. Visitors and sellers from all over Europe come to our new location, the Submarine Wharf. A typical Rotterdam location with a view over the harbor and two enormous halls where our large selection of international brands, sneaker stores, private vendors and collectors can buy, sell and exchange sneakers and street fashion items. But also some exciting spaces, for example, the art gallery, an exhibition and the famous WOEI sale. ”
Sneakerness takes place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of December at the Onderzeebootloods. Tickets are available here.
