Global sports brand PUMA is keeping the momentum strong with their RS chronicles as this month they launch the latest iteration of the RS-X. The RS-X Trophies celebrates the extreme reinvention of fame in the era of social media and reality television.
These days we’ve been seeing an influx of ‘new’ celebrities emerging from social media, sport, music, and more. The RS-X Trophies disruptive design is inspired by this ongoing cultural phenomenon and reinvention of fame and recognition.
Built with RS technology on the midsole, the bulky silhouette with mesh and textile upper is stylishly decked with leather overlays. Elevating the look with gold accents along the quarter panels, the sneakers in PUMA Black – PUMA Team Gold colorway is embossed with a textile heel piece and molded sockliner with specific RS branding. Completing the look with tonal laces, the sneakers are placed atop rubber outsole with a lightweight midsole.
The sneakers of the season come in three additional colorways – PUMA White-Bronze, Steel-Grey Dark Shadow and PUMA Black-Rose Gold.
Back in the ‘80s, the RS was an innovative and high-quality cushioning technology. PUMA has revived and reinvented this design ground up. The new RS-X range is all-things extreme, exaggerated and remixed. Embracing the future and honoring the past, the OG-inspired silhouette celebrates extreme reinvention with its bulky design, material mixes, and bold color palette.
In the Benelux, the RS-X Trophy drops on January 17th at The Athlete’s Foot, Sneakerbaas, Aspact, Bijsmaak and Sneakers. The RS-X Trophy will also be available online and PUMA stores and retailers worldwide.
