A superior sound, beautiful design with exclusive materials and intuitive touch control on the earphones for complete control over your music, calls and voice commands: the Beoplay E8, the first truly cordless Bang & Olufsen earphones are here.
This set of earphones is specially designed for people who need the freedom of wireless, but do not want to compromise on sound and design. Today Bang & Olufsen announces the brand new Beoplay E8 2.0, which has an improved design compared to the original product and features that the Bang & Olufsen community has asked for.
The charging case of high-quality leather has a new design with a more exclusive shape. With this cassette, the Beoplay E8 2.0 can be charged wirelessly, allowing you to use the earphones completely wirelessly. Simply charge the Beoplay E8 2.0 wirelessly by placing the cassette on a charging pad. The charging case has enough capacity to fully charge the earphones three times, for a total playback time of up to 16 hours. This is an improvement over the 12 hours of the original and is more than enough to listen to music all day long. The LED light on the front of the cassette shows the charging status and you can see from the three LEDs on the back how often you can fully charge the earphone with the cassette. The inside of the charging case is equipped with beautiful inlays of brushed anodized or double anodized aluminum, depending on the color. The wireless charging cassette is equipped with a USB-C port, so you can also charge the earphones with a cable.
Bang & Olufsen also releases a charging pad that allows you to charge the Beoplay E8 2.0 in style and wireless. The charging pad is made of high-quality materials, including brushed aluminum and durable cowhide leather that becomes more beautiful over the years. The charging pad is the perfect accessory for your Beoplay E8 2.0, but you can also charge your smartphone wirelessly. The pad provides support for normal charging (5W) and fast charging (10W).
People who already have a Beoplay E8 can now also charge wirelessly. The original Beoplay E8 earphone fits perfectly into the new charging case, giving Bang & Olufsen existing owners of a Beoplay E8 the benefits of wireless charging. The charging case is sold separately and it is also possible to purchase a separate left or right earphone.
The sound of the new earphones is, as with the original Beoplay E8, adjusted by the experienced sound engineers from Bang & Olufsen. Because of the rich, full and detailed sound your ears will never want anything else. Each earpiece has a 5.7 mm dynamic speaker, a small electromagnetic transducer, Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) technology and a Bluetooth 4.2 chip with digital sound processing, allowing dynamic sound tuning and uninterrupted sound. Users can also adjust the sound themselves in the Bang & Olufsen app for Android and iPhone.
The Beoplay E8 2.0 comes complete with a cassette of high-quality leather for wireless charging, five earbuds and a USB-C charging cable. The earphones are released in the colors Black, Indigo Blue, Natural and Limestone, for a retail price of €350. The earphones are available in all colors from February 14th online, in the Bang & Olufsen stores and in a select number of other stores.
The charging pad from Bang & Olufsen, for wireless charging, is available in the same colors: Black, Indigo Blue, Natural and Limestone. The selling price of this is still announced. Separate left and right ears of the Beoplay E8 2.0 are available for €125 and the wireless charging cartridge costs €200,-.
