Sustainability is something that goes high on the priority list when designers design their collection nowadays. This was not any different for KnowledgeCotton’s Spring/Summer collection.

The SS19 collection of KnowledgeCotton Apparel is about sharing a vision: “Together we can bring about a change by turning knowledge into reality.” The inspiration of KnowledgeCotton Apparel comes from everyone who has a common goal: a challenging traditional way of working which is accompanied by new ideas. By thinking in a lively way and by daring to be different, the brand believes that we can achieve great things together.

With KnowledgeCotton Apparel, innovation is at the heart of the company. The Danish brand uses organic cotton and sustainable materials and believes that their work can make a difference by applying sustainable innovation. By embracing the powers and possibilities of this era, new dimensions are born. Looking for knowledge, KnowledgeCotton Apparel finds authentic art in the way of life.

Climate change is a harsh reality and with the temperature rises the world is about to be confronted with unfavorable consequences. KnowledgeCotton Apparel believes that our generation needs to make the necessary changes. The brand has set itself the goal to be 100% CO2-neutral in the entire chain from manufacturer to distribution by 2025. These collections are manufactured in ‘CO2-Neutral factories’, where electricity is generated via wind energy.

Another goal for 2020 is to recycle more than 4.5 million plastic bottles and save the world from more than 800,000 liters of chemicals and pesticides by using organic cotton. At the end of 2017, KnowledgeCotton Apparel managed to prevent a total of 526,072 liters of chemicals and pesticides. In addition, the goal is to save 2,500,000 liters by 2020 by using organic cotton and sustainable materials. KnowledgeCotton Apparel saved a total of 1,620,100 liters at the end of 2017.

For their years of commitment to sustainability, the company received the Danish CSR Award in 2014.
